At the end of my last post, I talked about how I had lost a lot of my weight after trying an antibiotic that was prescribed for me to treat Lyme disease. I got the wrong antibiotic, but it was prescribed for my other infection, and it was a treatment for Lyme, so I took it as prescribed.
I am so proud of myself for taking the antibiotic, but I don’t take antibiotics anymore because it can be hard to take because of the cost. I was prescribed the antibiotic, doxycycline, which is a common antibiotic, but is not effective against Lyme. I am also using the antibiotic for Lyme treatment and will continue to take the antibiotic as prescribed.
I am going to share my story about what has happened since I started taking the antibiotic, and why I have been so far behind. I hope you will be able to share your story too, and I will also share some of my experiences with other people I know who have taken the antibiotic for Lyme. I hope you can share their experience in other ways too.

As you know, I am a long term reader of a medical journal (I am a long-time reader of the blogosphere, so I am not a medical professional). I was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and I am a part of the research team who are currently working on the process of finding the right medication for me to treat the infection.
I have started treatment for Lyme disease with doxycycline, and have been given a prescription for it in the hopes that it will be effective in preventing Lyme from coming to the affected joints and causing damage to bones. I have also been prescribed the antibiotic, and in my case, have been given it for treatment of Lyme.
I am doing the same thing, but I am not a medical professional because I have not been able to find an effective treatment for Lyme disease. I have also not been able to find a treatment that has worked.
I have been on antibiotics and have been told that it is not a good idea to take them if it does not work. I have been told that I should take them with food to lessen the stomach upset that happens if I have been taking them for a long time. I have been told that the antibiotic can make me dizzy. I also have been told that taking them will make me tired and to do so could be dangerous.
I have been taking doxycycline, and it has been prescribed by Dr. R. J. as a treatment for Lyme. He has done a thorough analysis of the data on this particular antibiotic and has found that it does work well in treating this particular type of infection.
My treatment is for the Lyme symptoms that I have been prescribed and it is also the first time I have taken this antibiotic to treat my condition. I have been prescribed this antibiotic twice, and have been told that it works very well. I have also been told that it does not work for me and I have had to have another round of antibiotics, and that it would be the worst thing for me to have taken that antibiotic.
In the meantime, I have been told that this antibiotic does not work for Lyme.
I am still in the process of trying out the antibiotic, but I am feeling a lot better and have been able to use it more safely.
I hope this is helpful, and I hope that you have a great and happy life.

Give as directed by your veterinarian. Follow the instructions printed on the prescription label. Store doxycycline at room temperature. Be sure to complete the prescription to ensure a full recovery, even if your pet seems to be improving, unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Allow your pet access to plenty of water. Doxycycline can be given with or without food but should not be given with dairy products.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Do not use in animals with a known sensitivity to doxycycline. Do not use in pregnant animals. Let your veterinarian know if your pet is on any other medications, as interactions with certain medicines can occur. Do not administer any calcium-containing medications, antacids, laxatives, or multivitamins within 2 hours of the last doxycycline dose. Notify your veterinarian if your animal suffers from kidney or liver disease. Doxycycline may increase skins sensitivity to sunlight. Store at room temperature. Store protected from light and moisture.
Allergic reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of an allergic reaction or a serious side effect you should stop doxycycline treatment and seek veterinary attention. Some common signs of allergic reactions and serious side effects are hives, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, loss of appetite, or dark colored urine.
Should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
Doxycycline should not be used in animals allergic to it or other tetracycline antibiotics. Use with caution in animals with impaired liver or kidney function. Do not use in pregnant, nursing, or growing animals since this medication may cause slowing of bone growth and discoloration of teeth. Give antacids, vitamin and mineral combinations, iron, or Pepto-Bismol at least 1 hour before or 4 hours after giving doxycycline. Use caution when given with digoxin or warfarin. Doxycycline is not affected by food.
